Non-Enforceable Civil Process Training

This training seminar will feature an overview of the proper service of process including subjects such as due diligence, methods of service, returns, a summary of Non-Enforceable Writs and an analysis of how bankruptcy affects the service or process. Actual cases and fact situations will also be presented.

Enforceable Civil Process Training

This seminar is designed to provide detailed training on the service of Enforceable Writs. It also includes a "Best Proposed Forms" section as well as individual time slots for legal advice and document review. The advanced training seminar will also address recent issues that have arisen in Sheriff's offices around the State to allow other offices to get a step up on current nuances in the service of process.

Certification

KCPT, Inc is certified by the Criminal Justice Standards & Training Commission (CJSTC), State of Florida, to present Seminars and Courses for Career Advancement credit for Florida Sheriffs. In 2019, KCPT also received Continuing Education Credits (CLE) from the Florida Bar for any attorneys to obtain legal training credits for attending our annual seminar.

Keating Civil Process Training provides Sheriff's Offices throughout the State of Florida with liability focused training in all areas of judicial process. Keating Civil Process Trainings are open to law enforcement officers as well as clerks and management personnel.
Gerard Keating has been a Florida licensed attorney for over 36 years practicing in all aspects of the law, specifically civil litigation. Mr. Keating was a board certified civil trial lawyer from 1989 - 2004. Mr. Keating has 23 plus years of teaching experience, more recently in the paralegal program at Daytona State College. Since 2017, Mr. Keating has represented Florida Sheriffs exclusively in the arena of civil process consulting and training. 

He has been providing Sheriff's Offices throughout the State with on-demand legal advice regarding civil process issues since 2004. Mr. Keating's experience and expertise provides him with a cutting edge view of civil process. Jessie Keating Hardy is a member of the Florida and also Alabama Bar. Jessie has been providing civil process legal consulting with her dad, Gerard Keating, since 2010.
